It's really horrible...

All my hair stood right up when I listen to Cucurrucucu Paloma by Caetano Veloso.
Yesterday when I was watching Talk to Her, there was a live performance of this song in the movie. I was so moved by the song...then I found this song familiar...
I found that it was included in one of the CDs I bought years ago...It was also used in Wong Ka Wai's Happy Together (I haven't watched this movie, and probably won't).

Cucurrucucu dove, cucurrucucu you do not cry...

Talk to her, finally.

Directed by Pedro Almodova, Talk to her is about the love of a nurse towards a neomort. The film is like a glass of water - plain, fresh and a little bitter.
If you are sick of Hollywood, you should try this one.

p.s. I like All About My Mother better.

It ain't for laugh, kid.

Last Wed I was in the Festival Walk looking for a gift. I was in a hurry so I took the lift. When the door almost closed, a fat kid rushed in with his little brothers. I couldn't tell why but I knew that I hated that kid. He was arrogant, obese and was pushing towards my direction.

Then he started talking to his brothers, 'Hey look! It's a comedy. We are going to watch it and have some laughs tonite.' Then I caught a glimpse of the VCD he was holding. My god! It was Bowling for Columbine by Michael Moore!!!

I wondered what he would say when he watched it.

It's love...

Recently I've been reading some Chinese novels. I don't know, but I have a feeling which I didn't have in the past - I miss these characters, the Chinese words. When I look at them, I have a strong feeling that it is our words, our language, our culture, our history. Isn't it great when you know that your ancestors were using the same set of words as we do?

I hope that in the near future China can restore the Traditional Chinese system. The simplified one is shit.

sorry.

Sorry about the previous fxck Bush post.
I mean, we should fxck him, of coz.
But we should do it in a more subtle, sensible way.

So I will think about it, I promise.

OUT.

It's sick but it raises a question: Can a rapee enjoy the process of raping?
In the last chapter of OUT, a Japanese detective story, the woman protagonist was raped. But in the process, she felt that she was the same kind of person as the rapist was (actually she knew the rapist), so finally she felt great sympathy towards him and enjoyed the process of raping.

Despite the above peculiarity, it was a good story. A young, attractive woman accidentally killed her husband in a quarrel. She asked her friends for help. Her friends (four women) cut the body into pieces and dumped them. But when part of the body was exposed, the police went after the wife...

Gogogo!

I have played CS for 3 hours in the afternoon, I feel dizzy right now.
I dunno why but I have lost interest in games which require time and effort to play.
I hate to build things up. I just want to plug in and play.

I really enjoy the moment of hiding in the dark and waiting for people to walk by, then pull the trigger and there is another deadmeat.
Yes, I camp a lot.

bedtime reading...

It's soooooooo cold outside. Really not willing to leave my bed.

oh!?

I got water condensed on my window this morning!

It ain't sexy, man.

Hey, gentlemen, I understand that the Gameboy Advance is really a great product - we can play Super Mario and F-Zero anywhere we like. But please don't play it when you are travelling on the MTR. It just makes you look pathetically ridiculous.

Here is a typical scenario:
A man in his forties entered the cabin and leaned on the grab bar. Then he hold the newspaper between his thighs, took out his gameboy from his pocket and started to play. Judging from the way he pressed the buttons, one could tell that he was a monkey- he simply pressed too hard - that would lower his speed and flexibility. He concentrated so much that he nearly fell when the train halted. Hell, he even didn't notice that people on the train were looking at him.

Gentlemen, if you want to play games on the MTR, get a palm. Nobody knows what you are doing with your palms. People would think that you are utilizing your precious time to re-arrange your schedule or read e-books. Moreover, there are games for adults on palm!

I am...

Hi, it's me again.
Maybe I should talk more about myself first, before I talk about the others.
I am a Year 4 student at CUHK, doing a major degree in English and a minor in Government and Public Administration. It's sad that I found the GPA courses more interesting than my major courses.

As I've said, I now only go to CU twice a week. So most of time I'm at home. Except weekends when I hang out with my girlfriend.

So now you understand why I have to write this blog.

Guilty Conscience

I feel kind of guilty, my friend.
Coz I 've got 3 days off a week!
God, it's like I'm doing a part-time study.

Yes, I'm lazy.

P.S. still got nothing to do at the office
testing

???

so here i am, at the office of my part-time job,
i don't know why i come here this morning becoz i am doing nothing right now,
except surfing on the net :O)

some problems are bothering me right now:
1.) what am i gonna write in my blog?
Ans: it seems that the readers of blog should be someone who knows me,
as i post the link in my icq info, so if i mention specific names, they are going to know who i am talking about...i don't want to lose friends just becoz of my blog

2.) but the problem is... my blog is supposed to talk about my life,
and it won't be fun if it's fake or fictitious...
Ans: i think i will use nicknames for those who i want to talk about, so if you are a friend of mine, you should know who i am talking about :)

Leo Ku

this was my last Shaw Thousand People Feast,
when i was eating, i thought of the previous three,
many things have changed, really,
and it seems that i've changed a lot too,

i'm not sure whether these changes are good or not,
but, i am comfortable with it. i feel fine, really.

i am looking forward to my work life,
hope it'll be a rewarding one.
i think i will retire at 60 (the earlier is, of coz, the better)
and then i want to do whatever i want,
wish that i will still have the stamina to do things after i 've retired :)

A must-see

Adaptation by Charlie Kaufman
this movie rocks.
the script is extremely clever.
trust me, this is a good one, probably the best movie i've watched this year.

Welcome!

welcome to 1_gog_log,

i would like to post my random thoughts here.
